Due to demand from customers who do not want a payroll solution but, would like to have the time and attendance management features of HRPay, we have developed a standalone system which eliminates the drudgery, paperwork, and stationery associated with traditional clocking systems.
Employees' entry and exit times are automatically recorded without any keying in of clock cards, leading to
greater efficiency and accuracy. In addition, employee's holidays and absences can be recorded to give a complete picture for performance appraisals and inspection by external agencies.
By
installing a low cost Proximity Card Reader and issuing your employees with credit-card sized cards or key-fobs, you can have this type of "big business" system at a "small business" price.
How does it work?
Your employees simply sign in and out by waving the card or key-fob at the reader and the entry and exit times are automatically recorded.
At the end of the week, you simply review the timecards and, if necessary, make any changes you wish. It couldn't be simpler! All the time & attendance data is automatically saved.
What information will it give me?
All entry and exit times will be recorded in the ATAMS database and presented in a familiar time card format. The time card shows 7 days at a time and the starting day can be any day of the week
Times may be edited and colour-coded to indicate the reason for any absences.

Each employee has an individual calendar which defines the days that the employee is expected to work.
It also shows at a glance the absences that have been recorded and can be used as a tool to plan future absences such as holidays and maternity leave.

Reports can be generated to show attendance, holidays and absences, and days and weeks where employees have exceeded regulatory limits on working hours
The Attendance and Holiday/Absence reports can be filtered by date, by department, and by employee, allowing a report to be generated
for a department or for a specific employee if necessary.

Control charts are used to give a quick summary of key factors such as holidays and absences, undertime and overtime, and late starts and early finishes.
As with the reports, the charts can be filtered by date, department, and employee.
Is
it
easy to install?
Anybody who can use a screwdriver can install it. No special skills are
required. We ship the reader, software, cable, power supply, and
pre-registered cards/fobs complete. All that is necessary is to (1)
mount the reader on the wall, (2) install the software, (3) connect the
reader to your computer, (4) power it up, and (5) tell the software
which
cards are assigned to which employee. No other cabling or electrical
work is needed.
Can the
Card Reader be connected to our internal network?
Although a direct link using an RS485 or RS232 cable is the simplest
option, if
you have a local area network an optional network adapter is available
to connect the Card Reader to the network. Please contact us for
further details.
My
computer doesn't have an RS232 port, can I connect it to a USB port?
No problem, we can supply a USB to
RS232 converter. An RS232 to RS485 converter is also available.
What
happens if we have a power failure?
The reader can store from 1,000 to 50,000 entry and exit records
depending on the model. In the event of a power failure, all records
are retained and can be downloaded to the computer when power is
restored.
Do I
have to leave my computer switched on?
No, the reader can work in stand-alone mode and download to the
computer whenever it suits you.
What
about if an employee leaves, or loses his/her card?
If an employee leaves and surrenders the card, the card can be re-used
for another employee. If a card is lost, or not surrendered when an
employee leaves, the card can be cancelled. We can supply additional
cards, as necessary.
Can the
reader be used to open a door?
Yes, the reader can also be used as an access control system and for
additional security, you can also specify that a PIN number be entered
to gain access. However, we recommend that you use the services of a
qualified electrician to connect the reader to an electric door strike
as this is not a job that should be done by an unqualified person.
